Short stays in Portugal

Hi,

I am currently looking at a villa in Portugal for a week, but it turns out that the flights are cheaper if we go 4 days early and stay for 11 nights.

Staying in the Carvoeiro area, and looking for something with at least 2 bedrooms but open to anywhere in Algarve as will have a car. We don't want to be spending a lot more as we are trying to do it on a budget.

Any recommendations of apartments or villas that would be suitable (24th - 28th)

Thanks

Have you looked at the big developments like Rocha Brava and Quinta do Paraiso, they might have somewhere with a few days gap between bookings?

It will be more difficult with individual owners on the normal listing sites as they usually just have the one property

Thank you for your recommendation Costa.

The villa we like is in Quinta do Paraiso and is all that's available then apparently. Rocha Brava is gorgeous (recommended by my parents who stayed there) but the only thing they have is £1000 for 4 days and I was thinking half that at most.

Ok, what about monte Dourado? Algar seco parque? Or the Montechoro hotel?

Costacoffeeplease · 03/07/2018 15:52

I think you might find it difficult to get somewhere under £500, tbh

I’ve just thought of a possibility- I’ll make a call

If you do go to carvoerio, do not go to el .... restauant at the top of the hill at the end of the strip. Very sexist and strange waiting staff who make lewd comments to any passing woman, play with young children's hair and generally make you feel very awkward and uncomfortable. You have been warned!

Costacoffeeplease · 03/07/2018 16:16

That’s A Rede, we never go there

I’ve had a look on Booking.com and there are some places in Praia da Rocha and Armação de Pera

Waiting for a call back from a contact

Costacoffeeplease · 03/07/2018 17:03

Sent you a pm

If the villa in Quinta do Paraiso is within your budget then I'd book it if I were you. It's a great complex and you'll enjoy yourselves there.

MyBeloved · 04/07/2018 00:08

That's the one - A Rede.

Sparkygal · 04/07/2018 18:36

Thanks all. Will make sure we stay away from the creepy restaurant!! Confused

It’s very easy, it’s about as far from QDP as you can get Smile
