From July 1st the speed limit on secondary roads in France will be reduced from 90kph to 80 kph. This affects all two way roads without a central barrier or separator, almost half of the network.
It may be that signs will not have been updated everywhere overnight, so people need to be aware of the new law when travelling.
The speed limits on dual carriageways and motorways remain the same.
