Hi All,,
I feel really nervous about to going to Malaysia (Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur) as I will be 10 weeks pregnant at the time of travel.

Am really nervous about going - has anyone else been in a similar situation (i.e long haul while early in the pregnancy - although I have a 18 month DD comming with me and if they have been to Malasyia or somewhere similar while pregnant - were you ok).

I'd like to hear about other people's experiences - I've scared myself silly reading up on travelling while pregnant etc and midwife has told not very supportive - told me it's my decision what I do.
Thanks,

I flew when 13 wks pregnant (albeit only 5 hours).
The airline were very good, we were given legroom seating.

Who are you flying with? (If its Malaysian you will be laughing because their customer service is the best in the world and will bend over backwards to make you comfortable)

Emirates have a great reputation too, all the middle east airlines seem to have the customer service nailed (emirates/qatar/gulf air)

HTH have a lovely time

you'll be fine, i flew from KL to London whilst pregnant with dd and was perfectly fine. Malaysia Airlines is indeed the best for service, but I hear Emirates is not too bad, and they have nannies for little ones, so you should be well taken care of too, I reckon.

I flew to Chicago when I was 8 weeks pregnant and two days ago returned from the Maldives (I am now 27 weeks).

No problems at all in early pregnancy - just make sure you drink lots of fluids. On these last flights the airline gave me an extra seat if the flight wasn't full and the cabin crew were great and kept me supplied with a regular supply of orange juice (Qatar airlines).

I flew to Aruba when I was 10 weeks pregnant and Dominican Republic when I was 4 months pregnant. Both flights were roughly about 10 hours. You will be fine! Don't sit in the same position for too long ( not that you will want to anyway). Have fun!

I flew to SEA when 7 weeks pregnant and had no problems. Was probably a bit more jet lagged than normal that's all. Did make a point of staying hydrated and moving about a bit more during the flight though. I was more concerned about being abroad than the actual flying bit TBH, but just applied common sense to what I ate/drank and had no upsets.
