Hi
I am from Dublin so I know the areas and the hotels very well.

For my money I would recommend Bewleys Hotel in Ballsbridge.
Huge wonderful Art Deco building. Has its own bar and restaurant. Quite a lively spot in an upscale location, close to public transport, cafes bars etc. Rooms are about ?109 for two per night, excluding breakfast (Breakfast in restaurant). You can't go wrong with it. It is very popular and really good value for money so I'd advise you to book early.
Best of luck.

There is a hotel right at the back of the newish shopping plaza....some of you will remind me of the name in a mo. It means that Grafton St is minutes away andtherefore Temple Bar and all that not too far to walk but not slap bang in amongst the noise. The rates we got were great and the rooms were big and quite upmarket for the price...still trying to find it.

Will post again if I find it...

Mercer Hotel...thats it.

99 Euros per room inc breakfast, but when i called I asked for their best rates for 4 nights and got a MASSIVE discount, tell them you are ringing around and want to make a confirmed booking.

Its in between St Stephens Green and Grafton Street.
