Paris 11th arrondissement. Bus or metro?

Hi, we’re staying in a hotel in 11th arrondissement. What’s our best way to travel around Paris. Metro, big bus tour (I don’t think the stops are near to where we are staying) or what about regular buses that locals use? I’ve added a map of where we are staying.(hotel nouvelle republic)

Metro is my preference
And you can get 2 day passes on boats that take you up and down the Seine and stop at various spots
In any case central Paris is relatively small so you can walk a fair bit

DH and I actually lost a couple of pounds after a week there earlier this year. That was despite eating and drinking - ahem - rather well. Couldn't believe it!

Lots of enjoyable walking plus the lack of escalators at most metro stations did us the world of good.

Think we should move there
