Singapore + Beach - any ideas?

We'd like to visit Singapore for 3 nights and then add on 8-10 nights somewhere interesting but in a really nice hotel. Last year we did KL + Borneo and its was just amazing. We are travelling with the boys who will be 13 and 11 so we need a family friendly hotel with some sports eg kayaking, waterpolo, football, pool etc. In Borneo we stayed at the Tanjung Aru and then Rasa Ria and these were amazing hotels.

Can any one recommend a beach destination that would work with Singapore? Something like the Rasa Ria would be amazing....

Any recommendations for good places to stay in Singapore (ideally with exec lounge type facilities)?

We are looking at July 2019 - so somewhere that the weather will be dry!

The Conrad in Singapore is supposed to be very nice and that has such facilities.

How about Lankawi for the beach? We've stayed at the Andaman and the one beside it (Datai?) and they were lovely.

We did 4 nights at the Shangri La in Singapore and 10 nights on Cebu in the Philippines. Highly recommended, the beaches were beautiful and it was only a 3 hour flight from Singapore.
I don't think I'd visit Cebu again because there are prettier areas but I believe one of the really beautiful islands has been closed to tourists this year.

Hotel Jen Orchardgateway in Singapore - good location and has a rooftop pool.

We did Bali after Singapore- easy flight and lots of great hotels from budget to swanky. Seminyak seemed good for teens.

We stayed at the Rasa Sayong in Penang - couldn't swim in the sea (jelly fish), but a lovely beach and decent pool. Or the Danna in Langkawi - which I would probably choose as a beach vacation more than Penang.
