Small independent hotel in August

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for our family holiday in August (with parents in law and our two daughters age 2 and 5)? We are looking to go somewhere in Europe, somewhere all inclusive or full board, with a pool or by the beach, BUT we would really like to avoid a massive, busy hotel. We are looking for something small and lovely, really unusual or individual, somewhere with a special feel to it. Somewhere almost with a villa feel possibly. Have you been anywhere you absolutely loved? Do you have any secret finds you would be willing to share with us?

I stayed a casa colina in Andalusia a few years ago and loved it! It’s a small hotel (4 rooms) but think they do an all inclusive/catered villa option. It’s about 40 mins north of Malaga airport by car - www.casa-colina.co.uk/home/4587810618

Those both look so lovely but are unfortunately sold out on our dates! Will definitely be looking at them for next summer though. Thank you both.

Long Travel specialise in the sort of hotel you describe, so might be worth giving them a call to see what’s available. They offer Italy, Croatia, Cypress, Portugal.
