V&A trip - keeping it interesting for 7yo's

I'm taking two 7yo's up to the V&A - William Morris is on the agenda due to a school project so any advice on where to find his room and other gems would be appreciated.

Any other areas which kids would love would be really great too Smile

Sorry, don’t know anything about William Morris but in general the V&A does backpacks for children, doing activities in various galleries depending on the pack’s topic. This last for around 1 hour +.

The Café is expensive and very crowded. We take a packed lunch, there is an area in the Sackler Center where you can eat. We normally then go somewhere for a coffee and cake afterwards.

One positive point, the shop is very much geared for adults, we manage to get out without any purchases.

Thank you! I was wondering if there was a way of finding out where to go for specific artists/designers so we could do specific areas rather than wander aimlessly! Those backpacks look good and thanks for the tip re the food too.

William Morris fabric is the room out the back of the theatre section which is very child friendly.

Ooh thanks!

I think the William Morris room is in/near the cafe. However is there any chance you could get to Walthamstow? The William Morris Gallery is fab.

Just ask the staff on the Reception desk - there's a set of rooms upstairs somewhere with loads of arts and crafts furniture, as well as the cafe stuff.
