Special trip for 6-year-old

This May half term I'd like to leave my youngest at home with DH and take my 6 year old DS away for a few days - a bit of bonding time with Mum and a treat for working hard at school this year.

Any suggestions of where to go - UK or short haul? He's very active, loves football, swimming - he likes new places and sunshine but he's not really one for sightseeing or pottering, he likes to have activities he can get involved in.

pgl do activity holidays for families and do offer short breaks. you could also look at something like center parcs in the UK. pgl have a French trip that might be of interest. I was going to suggest ocean elements in vassiliki where you could do a sailing and windsurfing course but during school holidays they will have minimum 1 week.
