Hi
Really like the look of this place for a summer holiday - great reviews

Has anyone on here been? I was thinking of flying to Nantes and hiring a car - don't fancy a massive drive/ferry . Was thinking of a week in August and hiring a mobile home/chalet

Was thinking - is a car necessary? Could we get a bus/coach down from Nantes? What is the public transport in France like?

Our boys are 5 and 8 - the site looks like there's loads to do for a week so maybe we wouldn't need to hire a car.

Advice / suggestions welcome
Thanks
F

I don’t think you’d need a car in La Garangeoire unless you wanted to go to the beach or out an about. There is lots to do and bikes to hire if you want to go a bit further afield.

Thanks

Is it easy to get to from Nantes on public transport do you know?

It's only a 30-40 drive from Nantes but no public transport as far as I know. You could email the office & ask (they are very helpful) but I suspect even if they could arrange a pick up for you it would be no cheaper than car hire. I agree that there is so much to do on the site you could do without a car when you get there. Though the shop on site is quite small & you would need a car to get to the nearest supermarket
