Atlantic coast/South Brittany

Could anyone recommend a gite (or similar) on the coast either in the Vendée or South Brittany. We are going to La Garangeoire for a week in July and would like something a bit more low-key for the 2nd week. It’s just 2 DC and I so don’t need anything massive. Thanks!

We stayed in a lovely gite with beautiful shared gardens in Southern Brittany a few years ago which we booked through Brittany Ferries. Well located for Josselin, Vannes etc. Can't remember name of it but will come back later if I do. Lovely area.

I've lived and run a gite near Vannes for 15 years and am happy to help with advice on the area if you are looking near here.

Here's the reference for the one we stayed in a few years ago. It's on the Brittany Ferries holiday site. Don't know how to create a link sorry.

St Guyomard
Ref: BM6088
Vannes is 30k SW of gite

The cottage is very pretty and peaceful, set amongst a small group of buildings along a country lane. There was a donkey and other small animals just down the lane too if you have little ones who might like that. Gardens were beautiful and lovely to explore and sit out. Very well located for various day trips. Only downside was that not near enough a village to walk out for bread and croissants in the morning.

Thanks all - am going to spend the evening looking at all the places you suggested.
