Glastonbury 2019 - I need advice please!

I have also posted in Music...

My best friend and I have decided we want to go to the Glastonbury festival in 2019 but there are two main concerns:

  1. Neither of us have been before and know nothing about the experience; and
  2. We really don't want to camp; it's just not our idea of a nice weekend away.

Is it possible to do it 'nicely' ie mud minimised, sleep achieved?

Does anyone have any hints or tips about the ticket buying process? Accommodation options? How to coordinate ourselves?!

You will be lucky to get tickets as demand far exceeds supply but assuming you get them then you can always hire a campervan and stay in the van. I did this a few yrs ago when I took both kids. Was expensive though as campervan hire added £1000 to cost of the festival! Tried for tickets for 2017 and didn't get any. I've been 8 times and enjoy the camping and have camped with my 3 yr old which was fine. I don't know what other non camping options there are. The site is mahooosive so staying off site isn't really an option. The are glamping tents I believe but know nothing about them. Good luck getting tickets!
