campsites near La Rochelle or South Vendee

Hi, I'm looking to take my son camping this summer, in July.

I was thinking the south vendee or around La Rochelle somewhere but I don't know the area very well. Can anyone give me their recommendations of a campsite in the south vendee or near La Rochelle? Ideally somewhere that does tent or cabin rental, with a decent sized pool and kids club? It doesn't have to be on the beach but a sandy beach nearby would be great.

Also, are there any nice villages or towns worth a visit?

Thanks!

Not sure if its the right are but we have stayed at Le Pin Parasol a few times and its a lovely site, great pool complex, good onsite kids club and very close to a lake, the beach was about 10km away and plenty of nearby towns with french markets to explore. I think Eurocamp and Al fresco still operate on the site

Have you checked out Canvas/Eurocamp sites they probably have a few sites around the area you are looking. Huttopia sites might do too, but these tend to be quieter and im not sure if they offer kids clubs or not but lovely settings

Pin parasol is quite a way from la Rochelle but the area is still lovely and there is quite a lot of good sites in the area so you'd probably find one to suit your needs. When we stayed we found the weather quite hit and miss but there was a indoor pool and always plenty to do regardless
