Where to go with one mum & 2kids?

I am single parent just getting over a breakup and looking forward to a summer holiday with my two ds 10 & 12.

I'm selling my engagement ring to fund it and would love to take them somewhere warm, please not France, that we can jump about in a pool, possibly a beach, not have to rely on a hire car and just generally have a nice time together.

I'm not looking for somewhere with loads of kids facilities but don't want to feel like I'm in the middle of nowhere. It would be great to be able to walk to a town for a meal and that sort of thing. Hotel or self catering but we'd probably share a room.

I really need a break and something to look forward to so any ideas would be great. Thanks.

I'm a single parent and I've taken my kids all over the place but they loved Croatia. The water is amazing and it's quite cheap. Lots to see and do and you can use the local public transport rather than drive. We had an air bnb apartment in Dubrovnik. Just watch for the sea urchins- keep your shoes on in the water!!!

I was coming on to say Croatia too! Or anywhere on the Croatian coast really, but Dubrovnik is really easy to get around.

Have you considered Cyprus or Malta?
