Thinking of going to Morocco in Easter as a family (three young DC). Does anyone have any great recommendations of places to stay?

Or we're thinking maybe Canaries?

I want to be near Marrakech as I absolutely love it there but that is flexible as long as there's some interesting ish stuff nearby. I just love the buzz of eating at the night market in Marrakech.

DH and DCs will want activities, surfing maybe and stuff for the younger DC.

Also want to be able to do some amount of pool time.

Money not really an object.

Just an idea of Morocco went last summer. We stayed at
Labranda Aqua Fun Club in Marrakech. The hotel is lovely, there is a variety of food and the water park speaks for itself. They also have entertainment in evening (disco for kids then adults)and a big flat screen outside with daily showings at 7pm.

We also done excursion for the me and my partner to a have some fun as adults.

I would return this summer however my youngest will only be 10weeks so we are going to Gran Canaria instead.

I have always wanted to go to Marrakesh but a lot of people have said it's not very child friendly. So will watch with interest.

Have looked at Labranda, did you have kids with u?

Wondering if the day trips would b too far with young kids.

We spent a couple of nights in a Riad in the old Town of Marrakesh and then went to an all inclusive on the outskirts in May half term nearly 3 years ago. The weather was pretty mixed, very hot (30+) when we got there then rainy and colder (23-26ish) the 2nd week. I loved the Riad & Old Marrakesh but we went with just one child and getting around with her during the day was pretty horrendous as the streets are really narrow and you're constantly having to dodge donkeys and motorbikes. Add to that, half of the city seems to be off the map & you're constantly hassled by would be guides! The all-inclusive bit was fine - we stayed at the Eden Andalou which was really reasonably priced and has a big water park and all the usual (kids clubs, mini disco etc). My daughter (then 7) remembers it as the best holiday ever as there were quite a lot of British kids and she made a lot of mates. There was a heated pool as well as a bigger non heated pool which was great as one day it was really pretty cold! The food is standard all inclusive fare - didn't blow me away but then buffets never really do as I'm picky and veggie! Hope this helps! The only negative I can think of is if you want to spend much time in the Old Town, trying to manage 3 young kids in a very mad city might be trying!
