Snowy destinations for non-skiers

Where would the collective wisdom of MN suggest we go for a snowy holiday which is not skiing based.

We'd really like to do some sledding, skating and snowman building, ideally close to an interesting town/city.

Possibly Sweden, Southern Germany or Austria.....but must have snow❄

Innsbruck?

Seefeld is ideal, it's a 30 mins train journey from Innsbruck, trains every 30 mins. Station is in the middle of the village, lots of winter walking paths, wide selection of accommodation.

Ooh thanks will take a look at flights to Innsbruck and train it from there.

Pertisau near Innsbruck is a good bet. As a resort it is mainly designed for langlauf rather than downhill skiing so it set up with cleared walking paths, sledge runs etc.

Good thread op as we are not ski ers but would love somewhere dh can ski but lots of things for us to do
