Where to stay in London (for Hamilton!!)

I have long-booked tickets for Hamilton for a Saturday evening in February.

We (partner and I) will be arriving/leaving from Kings Cross and staying Friday to Sunday. The show is at the Victoria Theatre, opposite Victoria Station.

If travelling with the kids we’d just stay in a Premier Inn etc near Kings Cross but on a (very) rare child free weekend, and late birthday celebration, would like to stay somewhere nice.

Can any London-smart people recommend a good location or specific hotel? Convenient for Kings Cross and Victoria and with nice bars, restaurants nearby as we’ll be arriving latish on the Friday? Budget under £200/night.

We had a lovely night at the Crowne Plaza in Kensington a few weeks ago. Only 3/4 stops on the tube from Victoria. Very pretty area with lovely bars and restaurants.

We paid a bit extra for a club room which gave us access to a lounge area in the hotel which served croissants/coffee all day with magazines/papers. In the evening between 6-8 they had a free bar and nibbles. You help yourself to wine/beer/spirits.

Highly recommended.
