First Family holiday abroad

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go with 2 adults, 4 kids (13/11/5/3) preferably not hours and hours on a flight and I would like a villa or something with a pool of our own because it will be a first family holiday abroad and a first holiday for my DS with his gastrostomy and I want him to be able to swim without feeling like people are staring at him.

We booked Villa Angela in Armou, Cyprus, privately about 10 years ago. It was very good value. Big with a wonderful pool. We went at easter and week one was cold in the pool (but kids went in) and week two was great for us all, so watch the season you choose if it's unheated.

My son learned to swim there!

We've also had great villas in Majorca at Puerto Pollenca (through James Villas) and Majorca at Torre Soli near Son Bou (about 20 years ago!)

The biggest thing to remember is making sure the pool will be warm enough to use, either by choosing the right season or heating (which may also cost more)
