Christmas in The Canaries

Xmas is so dull in our house. We have no family to speak of, and our kids are teenagers now, so no Santa excitement.

Has anyone ever been to Tenerife, Lanzarote etc for Xmas? How warm is it? We really don't care about Xmas dinner or anything like that, would just like sunshine and nice food.

Cant stetch £££ to Cuba or anything like that, so are The Canaries the warmest place?

We've always been tempted to skip it one year as the cooking and hosting is always on us so it's more enjoyable for everybody else. I just had a baby this year so me and dh are really regretful we didn't skip a year while we could and wish we'd buggared off abroad while we had the chance!!

I say go for it!
