US Dollar.......where's the best rate?

I'm off to the US in July and as the dollar is so good now I'd like to buy some. Anyone know where I'll get the best deal, maybe in the high street?

You don't know anyone in the US with a paypal account do you - friends/relatives. Paypal has the best exchange rate.

Check the BBC News page. It was only yesterday (I think) when an analyst mentioned the name of the bank who were providing the best rate at the moment. Sorry, I can't remember it (been racking those brains).
