North Germany beaches with kids

I'm really excited to be visiting the north of Germany with a friend this August. I'll also be bringing my 3 kids, but no DP.

I'll have no help with the kids ages 9, 4 and 2 so I was hoping for recommendations of accommodation perhaps with kids clubs or near parks- anything that might make the holiday as easy as possible.

Nordsee and Ostsee, Küste, Glucksburg, Boltenhagen, Sylt, the Darss and Travemunde are all on our list of possibilities.

Any other ideas also welcome.

Please hit me with your fabulous German accommodation- hotels to self catering, even a tent considered as long as there's a decent shower.

Landal Greenparks is like Centre parcs. This one is right on the coast. It has everything you'd possibly want from a holiday park. This is the link to the kids activities page.

Wulfener Hals is a campsite with mobile homes, holiday houses and apartments immediately on the coast. It has a seafood restaurant, playground, heated pool and watersports tuition as well as entertainment programs for both adults and children. Entertainment for children includes sports competitions, circus skills and puppet shows.

Can’t recommend campsites I’m afraid, but Timmdorf near Travemunde is nice and not as busy.

Great amusement park close by:

Boat trips on the lakes out of Malente:

Also, a day out in Lübeck is good, go to Niederegger marzipan shop.

Brilliant thank you for the two responses! We are lookong at the hansapark option as the accomodation looks nice and not very expensive.

I love Travemunde. When I went though it was on my school exchange and I stayed with my host family in Lubeck, and just went for the day. I remember it was really cold and the sea was frozen. Pretty though.
