Hi I’m just wondering if anyone could tell me if I visit Amsterdam can I bring food back in my hand luggage? It would be snacks like stroop waffles, crisps and chocolate.

Just not the 5kg tubs of Nutella, as it is a paste that needs to be checked to the hold, my boss and I had a very serious conversation on whether waiting the extra time and expense of checking Nutella into the hold was worth it out side a shop last time we were in Amsterdam for a conference.
Conclusion no it wasn't, but after he left his passport on the plane the time wasted was nil and void so next time I am bringing 5kg of Nutella back, after all I had to wait in arrivals for an hour for him last time
