Any advice on best travel options with 8 year old and 2 year old into paris. What's the metro link like?
Will take our own car seat if nec but would prefer not to.
Meant to say from charles de galles airport!

The train is absolutely fine as long as you don't have lots of luggage. I hate Charles de galles airport though; you used to come in to the same terminal as the rail link - very modern, very easy. Last time I flew with BA though I ended up in a terminal I had never seen before. Everything was really badly signposted we had to try and work out which bus (from the door outside the terminal) would take us to the train station. I was very heavily pregnant though so it might have affected my mood

If you can afford it, get a taxi. Cost approx 50 euro but worth every penny.

If you are going into T2, then the the rail station is part of it, although the directions are a bit funny. Essentailly is is between the two "halves" of the terminal - but sometimes the signposts seem to direct you outside the airport, so ignore them and keep walking inside the terminal. If you are in T1 (the "old" airport) then you need to get the transfer bus to the station.

You are getting the RER rather than the metro but it is very straightforward - and you can still link to any of the metro stations.

Where are you going to in Paris?
