Corfu - to go or not to go...

...so thinking of Greece for next summer and considering Corfu. Has anyone been recently? And, no, not to Kavos! Three families (6 kids) looking for a good family area with places to explore and good beaches - wanting to hire a villa with pool. Any suggestions?

We went to Corfu lat year and we loved it. We went to a place called Roda on the North coast. The beach was nice and our kids really enjoyed it there. We hired a car too and explored the island.

SooticaTheWitchesCat Thanks - did you stay in a hotel or hire a villa? We're the good child-friendly beaches close by and did you head to the main town - if so, how far was it?

We went 2 years ago and stayed near sintra. Loved corfu and our rural villa

All of Corfu is lovely . But wherever you end up take ten tons of insect repellent!

We've been to paleocastritsa twice, its beautiful. Lots of lovely scenery there.

Beautiful beautiful place. We have been several times. The last time was to aghios gordios on the west which was just lovely. Kassiopi is family friendly. In fact the whole island (bar ipsos and Kavos!)is just perfect we think!

We went to Arillas twice, and loved it.

Another vote for Roda here! 20 of us went last few years and all booked very cheap apartments/studios 5 mins from seafront - 10 to resort centre and very family friendly beach. It’s great for families. Lots of accommodation options.
