My kids want to do an easter egg hunt and I am doing one at home for them but wondered if there was an organised one in the area?

Many thanks.

Did you get the Mumsnet Easter news? There's one at Helmsley castle.

Try googling 'what's on' and your closest locations. Should bring up many events.
(Well, it did a moment ago for me, down south)

Theres a easter egg hunt at Benningbrough Hall just outside York off A19. Its a national trust place. The egg hunt is good (we go every year!) the hide the eggs in the garden and the child gets a small reward at the end. The place also has a nice play area and cafe. The egg hunt is definately on Sunday as we are going then, but I'm sure its on Monday too. Just check on National Trust website.

Thanks amylou, what time does it start? That sounds good.

There is an Easter Egg Hunt on at farmer's Cart in Strensall (three/four miles from York). Brilliant place, with farm shop, animals and cafe.

Does not open on Sunday but will be open Friday, Saturday and Bank HOliday Monday.
