We realised this year that DS at 11 is too old for holidays which are mostly pool with a few days out. They used to be ideal but this year, he was bored. DD at 6 is still OK with this but I don't know how long that will last.
Next year we would like to go somewhere with lots of activities for them. They are quite sporty and enjoy trying new things.
Must haves are-
Lots of stuff for them to do e.g. sports/group activities/water sports
1)A pool
2)A safe environment where they can be left at an activity.

Non essentials are
1)High class accommodation. Flat/Room/Static caravan/big tent such as Eurocamps use. Anything except old fashioned camping!
2) Can be self catering/half board/full board/AI
3)Family discussions brought up that northern Europe e.g. Holland or Germany with lots to do even if the weather was less reliable would be better than southern Europe or Turkey with nothing laid on. Best of all would be activities and sun.
4) Medium price range. Something like 3000-3500 max for four.

I am looking for recommendations, please. Package or DIY, any country considered. I would be quite interested in Tui/First Choice holiday villages but an independent place is also fine.

Thanks.

Well there's obviously Neilson and Mark Warner but I think they're probably over your budget. There's a company called Excel I think who do similar windsurfing/sailing holidays.

Sorry Alpine Elements I mean. Googling also brings up Trek Adventures and Seafarer Sailing but you have to contact them for a quote. Others include Peligoni Club, Mark Warner and Wildwind (the last two are expensive I think).

Have a look at Club Magic Life with Thomson/First Choice. DH and I went to the one in Fuerteventura and it was great. There was a lot going on all the time for children and adults. There was a lot of sporty activities and the food was great.
