Anyone taken a car seat with Flybe?

We are flying this weekend and thinking of taking our own car seats as to hire in resort is an eye watering £170 for two seats from the car hire company!

Flybe website says we can take it with us free of charge but I'm wondering are there rules / guidelines about packaging? We would be taking one group 1 car seat (bulky!) and one high back booster seat.

Yes, I've taken them free of charge loads of times with Flybe. No rules about packing - a lot of people just stick them in the hold as they are. I've got a cheap large bag from sunshine kids (bought it on Amazon) that I can just about squeeze two car seats into. It offers no protection from bumps etc, but keeps them clean and dry.

I use a black bin bag to keep them together, and dry! No problems, you check them in and they ho through as overdize baggage
