Maldives with children? Where would you recommend?

We went on honeymoon to the Maldives and it has spoiled holidays for me forever would love to go back with DS. Looking at our ten year anniversary so we can save up and also so that DS is a strong enough swimmer to really be able to get stuck in with snorkeling.

What are your recommendations for a really family friendly resort? We would prefer a water plane transfer than a boat and would love a really good snorkel accessible house reef as DS will be too young to try scuba diving, not fussed about an amazing spa or underwater dining type things (maybe save that for a return for our 20th anniversary!)

Also we went to Kuredu originally and had a bungalow with a single bed and most of the bungalows seemed to be the same (apart from the posher ones at the adults only sections) so how do we fit a 10 year old in? Do they have two bed bungalows is that a really stupid question?

We went to niyama and found it great for children. We had a beach villa with a separate living room with a sofa bed. And there is a great kids club

Have a look at the shangri-la. Small but normal plane to Gan then transfer by speed boat 10-15 mins? There was a house reef. Lots of bikes to cycle round the Island. Lots of families around.
