Canaries April 2018 - What to wear?

I have no idea what clothes to pack for early April in Gran Canaria! I know it's super early to think about it but by the time I come to pack clothes, shops won't have, or at least their full range, of summer clothing in stock so I am looking at the sales now.

Can anyone tell me whether I need to pack swim wear, shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses, sandals etc OR will it be t-shirts, leggings, sweaters and trainers on an evening?

My DD is the biggest issue. She would have turned 3 a month before we leave and at the moment she is in 12-18 month clothes, mostly 18-24 months so by the time end of March comes when I am packing, I envisage she'll be in 2-3 year clothes (here's hoping!) and I need to think now because in 8 months time, summer won't have reached the shops!

She's on the 'diddy' size and has ALWAYS been in the age phase below since birth. She didn't go into 18-24 month clothes until her 2nd birthday!

Could be either really. At that time of year it should be warm but evenings will be a bit cooler so you'll need warmer clothes unless you are the sort of people who are never cold. Or it might be a bit changeable.

We've been to the Canaries at different times of year and have had blazing hot beach weather in December and January and not so warm but still nice most of the time in April/May. One of the April times is was quite stormy for a few days before turning nice.

You might be as well trying to buy a bundle off ebay for DD next March when you know what size she is, or in my experience, warmer clothes start appearing in the shops by then so you might be able to get appropriate new stuff.
