Tips and tricks?
Or just practical advice?
We are a family of 4, (2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby), travelling via eurotunnel and staying at Davy Crocketts Ranch.

Actually at Christmas , or during the Christmas season ? We do DLP in December every year ( for the last 24yrs) , we normally stay at the Disneyland hotel . The main thing to remember is it can be cold , very very cold , so take lots of layers / hats / gloves . If your dc are likely to want to dress up buy the costumes in advance . Take advantage of the magic hours and enjoy . The drive to get there is extremely easy and takes about 2/3 hours on the French side depending on stops .

Love it at Christmas time. All twinkly and the window displays are just gorgeous in the shops.

So cold! Ski gloves and warm lined boots (not wellies) ski suits for the kids

2014newme · 28/07/2017 09:31

Do baby switch on the rides

2014newme · 28/07/2017 09:34

Book restaurants for dinner in advance ad otherwise you can wait an hour for a table

MyBreadIsEggy · 28/07/2017 10:14

The baby switch system is genius!! Grin
Thanks for the tips about boots and ski suits!!
The little one is in a sling majority of the time so I'll be investing in a winter baby-wearing jacket to keep him and my warm, but the big one will be kitted out with a ski suit!

Take waterproof clothing or sslapettes for kids (I got some from eBay for the kids) so you can go out regardless of the weather. Yes it's cold as others have said before but magical! We got all autographs in the studios park as the queues were much shorter. And yes reservations for dinner!!

I did xmas in loire valley once and it wasn't cold at all! I wonder if DLP is just in a particularly cold spot?

I am planning on going there xmas 2018 - it sounds wonderful at xmas, wonderful Grin there is far more detailed forum on dlp on TA.

When we went it was very, very cold. The dc's wore ski jackets/ trousers. DH and I wore down padded coats, all had warm boots.
We had an amazing time as we were prepared for the cold, without which it would have been miserable.
The shows were spectacular!
