Mexico with children? Yes or no

Thinking of booking Mexico for next month with dc 6 and 3. Is there much to do with them?
We usually go to spain or greece to hotel with kids entertainment
Can anyone recommend anywhere

I would avoid August it's very hot humid and it's hurricane season. May half term would be much better.

We went at the end of October with a (then) 3 and 9 year old. I'd go back in a heartbeat! The weather was perfect - high 20's/low 30's and we managed a (imho) perfect mix of beach and other stuff. We stayed AI near Tulum and the hotel was incredible. You don't need to leave, but we did, on several days and I'm so pleased we made the effort - we hired a car & went out through the jungle to Coba (Mayan ruins) and swimming with turtles in the ocean among other things. The Mexicans we encountered were without exception friendly and fantastic with children. Am I ranting? I really did love it! Happy to help if you have any questions.

Amazing place. Completely second what jen said. Cancun, all inclusive, and plenty for the kids to do. Enjoy !

Yes I missed out how amazing Mexico is. Would recommend Playa del carmen area at a different time .

Ben three times with kids age 6-9.
Brilliant holiday.
I would wait till the 3 year old is 4 and can do the kids club activities or may feel left out
Its extremely hot.
