Siam Park is the reason we've been back there twice. Awesome water park. Five minutes by taxi, get there very early.
It's quite expensive to get in but while there you can get tickets for a second visit at a good discount.
Costa Adeje has lots of lovely restaurants and family friendly bars with music. Also a decent beach with water sports.

Second the Siam Park recommendation, and its sister park, Loro Park is very good too. Playa del Duque isn't far from Adeje - walking distance - and is a lovely beach. The volcano is well worth a visit too!

We actually went to aqualand when we went as were told queues at Siam were horrendous.

Aqualand was brill. Totally enough for our DC-11&14. And filled the day.
A free shuttle bus to & from town is available. ( although we did get a taxi there to be literally first in the line!!)

I went to Loro Parque. One of the best zoos I'd ever been too. Then I watched Blackfish and now I want to twat myself around the head with a brick for contributing to their cruelty. Don't go to Loro.

Siam is good though. And you're not going to tenerife, you're in to the Isle Of Fernando Grin

Hairydilemma · 31/07/2017 17:25

The Jungle Park (smaller zoo closer to Adeje) is also a v good day out. Smaller (more a morning's worth) but worth a visit too is the Monkey Park in Los Cristianos - either of these is probably less than €10 in a cab. They hand out money off vouchers for Jungle Park at the airport usually, as you walk out to arrivals, so take some of those if you can.

Siam Park is great, but as others have said Aqualand is also fun. You can get combined tickets for there and Jungle Park which will save you money if you're going to do both.

The restaurants in the Del Duque end of Costa Adeje are expensive - head the other way toward Fanabe beach and they're a lot cheaper. There's also crazy golf and boingy trampoline things on the seafront there.

Will see if I can think of anything else...

monkeywithacowface · 31/07/2017 17:26

Siam park is amazing, personally we didn't enjoy aqualand as we found it a bit run down and some of the slide really hurt your arse!

I would avoid Loro Park like the plague rather than support awful treatment of the orca's they hold there.

buffyp · 31/07/2017 17:31

I think the op should make her own mind up on whether she wishes to go to Loro Park or not. I am sure she is capable of doing her own research on the subject.

monkeywithacowface · 31/07/2017 17:39

Am sure she can buffyp hence why i said I would avoid it like the plague.

I'm sure the Op can make up her mind about all the suggestions given and research them but given that she asked for opinions people erm... gave their opinions. Hmm

monkeyfacegrace · 31/07/2017 19:11

Say what? There's no argument about the treatment of Orcas Confused Nobody in their right mind would go. But I didn't know they had Orcas when I booked and I wish someone had told me. So there you go.

BarbaraofSeville · 01/08/2017 07:39

If you want to go right to the top of Mount Teide, you need a pass or go on an organised tour.

Be aware that in Siam Park they half arsedly search your bags for picnics to confiscate, so make sure anything is well hidden - I wrapped mine in a towel.

Abitofaproblem · 01/08/2017 23:04

Mount Teide was interesting although I didn't go up in cable car as DD was too young. Went to Jungle Park, way better than what I thought it would be. Aqualand probably not exciting enough for older kids. Playa del Duque was lovely.
