Anyone traveled to Formentera without a car?

I'm trying to figure out if it's going to take all day or just be dead easy.

If my plane lands at 10am in ibiza, what time could I be in my villa on Formentera?

It looks like the ferry is quite near the airport, is that right? And then can you just walk onto a ferry or do you have to book a particular one?

I know this is all googlable but I'd appreciate anyone who's actually done the journey to give estimates of the time it takes for the bits in between. Thank you!

We went without a car 6 years ago. It was easy (and so beautiful- DD was conceived there Smile).

If I remember correctly , Ibiza Airport to ferry terminal was about 15 mins, then ferry journey to Formentera about 20 mins. Taxi at Formentera ferry port (quite a few there when you arrive) was about 10 mins to our hotel in Es Pujols.

We were there for a week and hired bikes to cycle around everywhere.

It's a gorgeous place - enjoy!

Re ferry bookings (or not). I'm not familiar with Ibiza to Formentera but have travelled from Malta to Gozo and vice versa a few times.

Looking at the website, it looks like a similar set up, ie you just turn up and get on the next ferry as there are regular ferry crossings throughout the day and the price is fairly standard. Just like waiting for a bus.
