Canaries at Easter - best place to go.

Looking at booking a holiday next Easter to the Canary Islands, thinking possibly Lanzarote, although I've never been to any so maybe Tenerife or Fuertuventura would be nicer?

Looking for a recommendation on a nice family friendly area with lots of shops and restaurants, but not too clubby or full of boozed up youngsters. We usually book a villa through James or Villa Plus, has anyone used any good regulated villa companies they really liked?

Thank you!

Fuerteventura is lovely - recommend Corralejo for chilled atmosphere - great food and drink, lovely beaches, friendly and safe.

We have used VillaPlus in Mallorca, and they do villas in Lanzarote.
We stayed in Puerto del Carmen and I didn't like it that much. But we got a last minute deal a few years ago to a place in Playa Blanca down at the Playa Flamingo end and it was nice. A nice pedestrianised sea side walk with restaurants and shops, no clubs etc.

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is nice and I've heard Los Gigantes in Tenerife is unspoilt and pretty too. We're going to Puerto de Mogan on Gran Canaria next Easter as that looks nice as well. We like a promenade, beach, restaurants, family vibe, no drunken louts too so I always do my homework!

We live Puerto del carmen in lanzarote. We stay near the harbour where there are nice restaurants and cove and just don't walk along the 6km of Irish barsWink

I've been recommended Playa Blanca by a couple of people who've been there and it does sound nice. I've had a look at Villa Plus and they do some nice villas there so I think that might be the place for us! Thank you everyone.

I would recommend Gran Canaria, the weather there seems to be more reliable at that time of year even in comparison with the other Canary Islands.

We've stayed many times in Maspalomas and Meloneras and would definitely recommend. Some really beautiful accommodation, lovely beaches and good restaurants/nightlife. It's a more upmarket and family friendly area than others.
