Black Forest Spas - how naked?!

We are spending a week in the Black Forest this summer and would love to go to a spa/therme. However, just how naked are they? I'd be okay (ish) with the nakedness but dd is 14 and most definitely would not.

I realise the sauna / steam room bits of them will be starkers but has anyone been to one where the swimming areas are swimsuit ON? We are staying near Freiburg.

usually the sauna area is closed off with plunge pools and rest area. you would def get raised eyebrows if you wear swimming costume in there.
the swimming area is not naked, but check what kind of swimwear they allow for men, some don't allow loose shorts.

Thanks yellowlawn. So we should be OK in the swimming areas then.

Swimming areas as like every other pool, costume required.

A sauna is always naked. I know some people sit on one towel and have a second draped around them. Not sure how much more uncomfortable that is.

Check the sauna requirements, some don't allow under 16s anyway or have set "women only", "men only" or "mixed" hours.

I've been to one near Freiburg and a few more in Germany and I haven't been naked once!!!
Usually it's just the sauna
Lucky you we love Freiburg!!!
