Cheap break over easter in south east england?

Feeling run down and we could all do with a cheapish weekend over Easter.
Any suggestions please

Last time we tried to do a cheap weekend in Britain over Easter it turned out to be cheaper to go to France for a week instead! Look at easycottages.co.uk for decent holiday homes close to the channel ports; prices include ferry crossing. We have had some really lovely holidays this way.
