holiday ideas for a week over new year

Its my 40th on boxing day and am planning on escaping having a party by going away. Looking to leave 27/28/29th for 7 days.

Where would you go? budget of £750/person for flights and accommodation.

Not really fancying cold and snowy.

It might be beyond your budget but I would look at a once in a lifetime type holiday and would suggest Belize. you are going to have to go pretty near the equator to find something that isn't cold/cool so would think about it being a pretty long haul. also this time of year is going to be mega bucks - as much as school summer holidays.

I would first off speak to a travel agent and see what they come up with for your budget and then you will have an idea of where to book for yourself.

Not bothered about hot hot - warm is fine so over 14C is plenty so the malta/italy/portugal would all be ok

just wondering if anyone has had an amazing new year somewhere.

Had found flights to New York for under £400 each at week - should have booked those - although that wouldn't be warm!
