Hi all.

I'm taking my husband to London for a child free weekend mid may for his birthday.

We're going with his brother and wife.

Just wondered if you had any advice on places to go, see, things to do?

Already planned in:
Ice Bar
Cahoots (40's inspired bar)
Looked at sky garden but it's fully booked.

TIA x

A stroll around Borough Market on a Saturday is brilliant. Drinks at one of the restaurants at the shard?

Junkyard Gold (Shoreditch) or Swingers (Aldgate) are fun - adult crazy golf with alcohol!

Cahoots is good, reserve a table though. This is necessary for most decent bars in London these days, especially at the weekend.

Another bar recommendation would be Aqua in the Shard. Drinks are expensive (£20+) but it's on the 35th floor and still works out much cheaper than actually paying to go up to the top (where you can't see much anyway).

Obviously there are all the usual museums and galleries which are always worth a visit.

You can booze and shop anywhere. No interest in historic sights? Plenty for free or low cost.

The London burlesque festival is on from the 12-28 May. It's lots of different events, adult fun (in good taste) and lots of gin too.

@MackerelOfFact - junkyard looks like good fun - trying to get booked in there!

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are doing the normal touristy bits just looking for new things that we couldn't do where we live x
