which end of gloucestershire? or does it not matter?

the cotswold farm park is quite good fun but even better but just over the boarder into oxfordshire is Cotsold Wildlife Park - it's bigger and they've got a little train that goes round the park as well.

Those two places I've said are miles away - the other side of the county. I'll have a think even though I don't know that particular area that well.

\linl{http://www.cattlecountry.co.uk/index.html\Cattle Country} is quite close though a friend went there the other week and said it was dirty so it sounded abit grim. Don't know whether someone else can comment?

Furball · 12/03/2007 17:25

sorry Cattle CountryCattle Country

Cotswold Farm Park is fab - I prefer it to the wildlife park actually, and at this time of year you get to see lambs being born! Cattle country - it's ok, but expensive, a bit dirty(!), and once you get in you have to pay extra for lots of the activities.

tortoiseSHELL · 12/03/2007 17:26

Prinknash is lovely as well.

Furball · 12/03/2007 18:59

i think farm park is too far from wotton though tortoiseSHELL the AA says 42 miles!

We went to Slimbridge today and the kids loved it!

Also W-U-E not that far from Bristol so the Commonwealth and Empire Museum at Temple Meads, Explore @ Bristol etc.

Have you been to Berkeley Castle? The Jenner Museum in Berkeley as well or any of these:

Cattle Country is great but it isn't open at the moment so I am not sure how your friend got in Furball! It is only open in the summer (or from about easter onwards) and for half terms. I know as I live very close to it and we went there this half term. Yes it was very muddy - the kids got filthy - but in the summer it is far more pleasant.

DumbledoresGirl · 18/03/2007 21:36

Oh sorry Furball, you said the other week, I thought you said last week. The other week will have been when it was open for half term presumably

Furball · 20/03/2007 10:00

Thats OK! I got the impression DG she mean't it was unclean dirty rather than muddy. Is that the case?

DumbledoresGirl · 20/03/2007 14:44

Not the 2 times I have been there. But last halfterm it was incredibly muddy and all the equipment got very muddy too. But things like the loos and cafe etc are perfectly acceptable.
