Good house swap website for the US?

I have to go to Chicago in June and am thinking about doing a house swap. I've only ever read about doing a house swap and never actually done it myself. Would love to hear other people's experiences plus suggestions for good websites to find a house swap.
Thanks!

Can't help you with a house swap (unless you look on Craigslist, but I am not convinced they do that - it's usually buying and selling) but I live in Chicago so if you need any other info, I'd be happy to help

If you're interested, I could keep my eye out for a house-sitting option (where you live in someone else's house to water the plants & keep it lived in).

I did this thread for someone else recently - I'm not sure what you will be doing in Chicago, but it may help.

Let me know if you need any info.

I've never done a house exchange although I like the idea. I once read an article in a magazine though where a family had used a site called www.Intervac.com and had many good holidays over a few years swapping houses.

We ave done a house swap.It was fantastic. We swapped with a family in Florida, swapped cars asweel. It was handy to have toys/bikes/swimming pool/bbq stuff all at hand.
We made friends with the neighbours.
Only downside was having to madly clean and organise our house.I was exhausted!
We used this company.
This was about 6-7 yrs ago and it was one of the cheaper sites to join.

Thanks for the link mamama - I've taken a look and will make some notes before I go to Chicago.

By the way - the house that we're thinking of swapping with is in Andersonville.... Does that mean anything to you? Good/bad area - lots going on?

Would love to hear what you've got to say about it.
