Last Minute Centreparcs Advice - Elveden Forest

We're off on Saturday for our first Centreparcs holiday - and boy do we need it! We're spending the weekend in Cambridge first - any ideas where best to stock up on some goodies and essentials before we get there (we're thinking a big M&S might do us)? Also, any other advice on what to bring or not to bring would be helpful. For example, will we need some mosquito plug ins or is that not an issue?

Tartegnin - Thanks for the update! I'm pleased you had a really good holiday. I'm sure that anyone else going there will find the feedback really useful.

oh dear, Galaxy, what a nightmare! It's such a contrast to our nice holiday. Our villa was quite new and very clean when we arrived (I had been prepared for it not to be, so brought cleaning stuff with me). Maybe it's a difference between going a bit before the high season so that the staff aren't quite so pushed? It just sounds like you had every bad experience, and I'm glad they at least refunded some of the money for the extras, even if it took some doing. Perhaps spend it on a luxury dinner for two closer to home to make up for it ? Also, I think you should write to the Centreparcs central customer service (some contact details on their website, I think) to let them know about your experiences - some of it sounds like bad luck, but a lot of it sounds like staffing problems (we did notice that there was a lot of understaffing around, which led to bad service) which they need to address. I suppose the silver lining is that it was only four days! Hope you have a great rest of the summer.
