Day trip to Le Touquet

We've just squeaked into the free wine day trip over and are going to Le Touquet for the day next weekend. Arrive Calais 10am them planning driving to LT for 11, beach, poss market, quick lunch then bit more beach then hypermarket on way back to get ferry back at 5ish.

Any recs for places to eat (we are 4 adults and 5 kids 5-11)? And best hypermarket to stop of at? We normally do Cote d'Opale Auchan but think one nearest Calais may be better.

We usually stop at the Carrefour at Cite Europe on way back to Calais.

Will it be warm enough to spend 2 session on the beach at the beginning of March? Would possibly suggest visiting the market when you arrive and going to the beach after lunch. Am not sure if it will be open, so check before you try and visit, but there is a lighthouse at Le Touquet that you can visit.
In terms of eating out with dcs we often end up having pizza in France which is fairly cheap and quick - the French seem to like taking their time over lunch.
Is the Cote d'Opale Auchan the one on the outskirts of Boulogne? We usually find that the wine prices are slightly cheaper and shelves have more stock a bit further from Calais and that Auchan is slightly less expensive than Carrefour.

Not been to Le Touquet (yet), but Auchan is generally cheaper than Carrefour, although it might be a little bit further out of your way (not sure about the ferries, as usually take the Shuttle).

Thanks, yes it is the one outside of Boulogne, I think it's worth the slight detour as I know the layout as time is so tight.

Weather looks a bit poo now so thanks for heads up re market, will definitely go there first
