The Spectrum Centre, Guildford on a weekend - is it unbearably busy or doable?

It is alright, but variable. In very busy periods they limit the time you can have in the swimming pool, but it is always long enough for our two. The diving pool is sometimes closed, for no obvious reason or for competitions. The 'serious' pool always has room (but soem lanes can be closed for lessons).

I have less experience of the ice rink.

Thanks Clerk. We'd probably be going mainly for the pools. Weather was so nice today, I took them to Wisley instead. Haven't been there for something like 20 years! Kids had a great time charging about following the Children's Rock Trail!
