recommndations for budget resturants/activities in Paris?

I found wandering round the Marais good fun, eating cheese on baguette from a local boulangerie, and Place de Vosges was lovely. I think iirc there was a little playpark there.

thanks cloudhopper but we wont need the playpark as dh and i are going alone!
