Just that really, going over Easter, second thoughts maybe better to buy now before the pound plummets but wondering if we didn't buy in advance is buying on the day possible?

Thanks

It is possible to buy on the day but the problem is the queues are usually very long, a couple of hours or more. So there is a big advantage to buying in advance. Only disadvantage is if the weather is poor on the day you have booked (it's not unknown for the top to disappear in the mist).

We just bought on the day, got there a little before it opened so got up pretty quickly once it did open.

Although I don't think it was school holidays when we went.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful, good point about the weather. To risk or not to risk but I don't fancy queuing for hours!

But getting there before opening definitely a good option, thanks.

On reflection OP, despite what I said, I would probably book, the risk of queues being bigger than the risk of bad weather I think. But going very early is a good idea as well

Thank you LeMesmer
