London-Tokyo flight with BA - what time are meals?

Does anyone have an idea of what time BA serves meals on London-Tokyo flights? Departing 13:50 and I'm wondering when is the best time to try to get some sleep.

TIA.

IME, meals are served about an hour after take off, and then 1-2 hours before landing.

I'll be getting that flight in 2 weeks time too!

They will start serving dinner once you've reached cruising altitude. So about an hour. Breakfast as above poster says about 1 hour or two before landing.

Never been to Tokyo, its on my list....enjoy Smile

Aw, thanks both.

Mumsnet is wonderful for finding stuff out!

Is that the BA005?.

Its usually around 60-90 minutes after take off, they will serve lunch (and if I recall correctly there's an afternoon tea later on also). Breakfast the next morning is served around 90 minutes before landing.

Enjoy Japan.

I tried to get some sleep around 5-6 hours into the flight; it will get dark outside very quickly.

You don't have to eat the meals! You can sleep if you want. Eat before you board and sleep straight away, if you can. Japan is wonderful.
