For the first time since DS was born, my husband and I will be having a child free weekend. I've booked us a surprise trip to Amsterdam while DS(aged 4 years) is with my parents for 2 nights..

How much money would you recommend taking to spend for the 2 days we will be there? We fly home early on the sunday morning, so will be there from Friday 2pm until sunday 9am.

Also, any "must do" activities let me know!

Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Franks House are all the main
must sees. There are loads of canals so a romantic evening boat trip?
Prices are similar to the UK say £150
It is a lovely place but I used to spend a lot of time over there and petty
crime can be a problem. Just be aware of where you put your handbag etc

We did a dinner cruise which was lovely but slightly pricey. There was another option to do a cheese and wine trip which was cheaper. It was with a company called Lovers i think -highly recommended.

If you book any cruises, organised trips you will need more than £150
I based that on the bare min so take another £100 if you fancy some
luxuries Enjoy the beer and the cheese!
