Activity holiday in the sun at Easter

Just came back from a Neilson holiday in Greece with DD (8), which we both absolutely loved. Already plotting when we can do something similar - ideally in the sun with lots of activities.

Easter is a good time for us to get away, but Neilson/Mark Warner don't get going til a bit later. Can anybody suggest something comparable that would be open in April?

Following w interest, since everyone (understandably) pulled out of Red Sea resorts I'm not sure what other options there are...Azores? Cape Verde? Can't afford to go to Caribbean where it would be late season...

Also following with interest, we too like neilsons and like ypu I checked for Easter but season doesn't start till I think 30th April.
Cyprus and canaries seem to be the only places up and running at that time in Europe.
I am considering Iceland or a city break perhaps Stockholm.

Bumping this in case anyone has any ideas!

Have thought about skiing (which we have never done) but it seems a bit risky snow-wise, especially with such a late Easter.

It didn't seem quite as set up for kids as some places are though....

the reason the neilson and other hols don't start until later is because the weather just isn't reliable enough.

had you thought about just picking somewhere and pulling together your own activities? there are hotels in florida keys for example where the weather would be just right at easter and there are plenty of things that you can do re water sports. however, they do tend to be expensive.

not sure if pgl family holidays start a bit earlier but they are worth a look.

I went to Club La Santa several years ago when DD was 2. We didn't make use of the kids facilities but took turns to do sporting activities ourselves and were with friends babysat each other's children too.

The apartments were basic but i gather they've been refurbished recently. I looked at again a few weeks ago and they list specific activities for kids holiday periods. I think they have sample weeks available. The only trouble is i have one very sporty child and one laid back teenager.

Have you looked at the adventure companies? We did a multi-activity week in Andorra with The Family Adventure Company which was great. It was walking, biking and a bit of white water rafting. They get to meet kids their own age and there's other parents to socialise with too.
