Algarve - Luz or Salgados beach

We've got to decide today between 2 hotels (booked both so need to cancel one!) the Baia da Luz or Salgados Palm Village. Does anyone have any recommendations of either?

We're limited as a family of 6, the Baia is 3 bed apt but room only and the Palm Village is 2 bed with sofa beds but all inclusive. Children all 5-10 and as there are 4 of them, the focus is on them!

Alternatively if anyone has any other recommendations? We've got the flights booked so needs to be the Algarve.

We went to Salgados Palm Village in July. Rooms are huge with plenty of space. It AI and there's lots of choice. Kids club seems good and runs until the evening but we didn't use it as ours are older. Beach is a short train ride away and is lovely and has lifeguards. It's a bit out of Albafuira but we booked a minibus type taxi via reception for 15 euros as we could fit in to a car.

Thanks Slalom, do you know what the sofa beds were like? I will be nearly 8m pregnant so looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday!

We had a three bed apartment so didn't use the sofa bed. Last time we went we did for the kids and they were fine and as it had a tv in the living room there were no complaints. Don't know how it would be for an 8 month pregnant lady though.
