Special Beach Holiday in April - recommendations?

We're hoping to have a special family beach holiday in April next year and I would love your recommendations.

Will be the 4 of us - DH, me, DS (6) and DD (3). Want to go all inclusive and have a budget of 7000 ish. We love the look of the Beaches resorts but the flight times to Jamaica/Turks seem a bit crazy at that time of year - 24hrs with 2 stopovers!

Doesn't have to be Carribbean but does have to be sunny. Would love a brilliant kids' club and a good choice of restaurants.

Hit me with your ideas please!

You can fly to Jamaica via the USA with Delta Airlines. One stop 12-15 hours. Mexico eg Cancun should have direct flights if you book a package.
Dominican Republic is good value for All Inclusive but there have been some complaints re touristy
Costa Rica (S America) the Seychelles the Maldives Mauritius
Malawi ( up and coming in Africa ) lovely but avoid flights via Nairobi
The canary Islands are of course nice and comfy being in Europe
but commercialised. With the Caribbean research must be done re safety

How about the sensatori in Jamaica or the brand new one in the Dominican republic. Great kids clubs and facilities but flights will be direct with Thomson on their dreamliners.

Lots of airlines fly direct from uk to Jamaica e.g virgin, that shouldn't be a problem. I think British airways now fly direct to Turks and Caicos rather than you having to change at Miami.
BEaches resorts are expensive you may not get two weeks for £7k but should get a week to ten days.
I don't see why you think it's a 24 hour flight with two stops, ring virgin and BA.

Mouldy- they probably looked at the flights and the cheapest were 2 stops etc Sometimes paying a bit extra on a longhaul cuts the journey/more service etc Well worth the extra esp with children

Beaches in Turks is much nicer than the Jamiaca resorts in my opinion, many more restaurants, pools, more waterslides and very short transfer time from the airport.
You can either fly direct with BA (I think the flight does a drop off in Antigua but you don't change planes) or fly to Miami and transfer. The Miami - Turks flight is not much more than an hour so not a long journey after you've already done a long haul flight!

Never fly to Miami and transfer; that whole process can take hours due to biblically long lines and few staff. That airport is also huge and you can walk a mile (literally) to immigration.

Direct flights are better anyway particularly when you have young children.

There are two shangri la resorts in Kota Kinabalu with private beaches, kids' clubs, great pools and several restaurants. I know several families who have been there, but not sure if they do AI.

Go to Thailand! You would definitely love it
